There are needs in the agricultural sector when it comes to farming and we have the potentials with 84 million hectares of arable land and only 34 million hectare currently under cultivation.

TOHFAN as an association has a vision of ensuring food security which can be ensured by increasing the productivity of farming activities and how can we achieve this? With 65 percent of farmers making use of hoe and cutlasses to farm, 25 percent animal, leaving the remaining 10 percent using tractors with over 180 million mouths to feed in the nation.

How can we increase food production in Nigeria? We decided to get more tractors into more farms and make them easily accessible to smallholder farmers which make up to 70 percent of farmers in Nigeria.

There are a lot of opportunities which is part of the driving force for TOHFAN to ensure food security in Nigeria by farm mechanization. Farmers also need these services to improve on their sources of livelihood and make the sector more attractive to vibrant and intelligent youths.

Farm mechanization will improve and affect the wellbeing of not just the farmers but every Nigerian and Nigeria as a whole. There are other countries with less arable lands than Nigeria and they are utilizing those hectares to its maximum potentials but what of a country like ours blessed with good weather? It was on this note TOHFAN was formed in 2003 to meet the needs of every farmer in Nigeria, providing quality service and ensuring customer satisfaction.
